Good hotel with great amenities like free Wi-Fi, a bar/lounge area, and 24-hour reception. The staff even helped me with my luggage on my first stay! I highly recommend enjoying afternoon tea during your visit. I'm coming back for Xmas.

Very good staff and location, special feel. Courteous and exceptional staff; early check in. Brilliant bathroom and spotless and silent room. Sensational morning meal in the bar. Handy location - so close to D b Amusements. Perfect hotel, 20 minutes' walk from the downtown.

They placed us in an a double room which was newly remodelled and contemporary. The location was good and unbeatable for Edinburgh, close to Edinburgh's public transport, the castle and High Street as well as Tynecastle, and haymarket in the other direction.
The setting was pretty bad.

Comfortable stay with lovely breakfast
The location was pretty good, just a short walk to the main sights. The bed was super comfy, and I loved the heated towel rail in the clean bathroom. Breakfast was definitely the highlight, I got the full Scottish, and it was fantastic! The only hitch was the lounge area, a bit worn and needing some TLC.
